EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) is lightweight and elastic, offering good cushioning properties. EVA is available both as granulate and as a foil material. For a plastic, it has high heat resistance and good aging resistance.
At HUDORA, it is primarily used for "solid rubber tires" on children's vehicles. Unlike air tires, these are much lower maintenance and almost impossible to damage – neither by a "flat tire" nor by overinflation.
Additionally, tires made from EVA can be produced without so-called PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons), which is not possible with the casings of air tires.
